Netherlands Home 2026-27 Fixtures: VRH, Rotterdam & Amstelveen Decoded

The Royal Dutch Cricket Board (KNCB) has confirmed 14 home fixtures across the 2026-27 window, with the WCL2 leg providing the spine and a high-profile pre-T20-WC tour from Pakistan as the marquee. VRA Cricket Ground in Amstelveen carries the bulk of fixtures, joined by Hazelaarweg (the VRH ground) in Rotterdam and Sportpark Westvliet in The Hague. The block runs May 2026 through September 2026, before the European weather closes the window. With Scott Edwards's side currently second on the WCL2 table, this is the cleanest path to an automatic WC 2027 berth Netherlands cricket has had. This decode covers every match by venue, broadcast routing and pathway maths.
VRA Amstelveen as the home base
The VRA Cricket Ground in Amstelveen, Netherlands' long-standing home venue, hosts nine of the 14 fixtures. The headline blocks are the four-match WCL2 leg against Namibia (May 28-31 through June 3-7) and a three-match ODI series against Pakistan (June 24, 26, 28). Start times are 11:00 CEST for ODIs to use the long European summer daylight, with T20Is moving to 18:00. Head curator Jelle van der Veer has confirmed first-innings target totals of 280-300 for the Pakistan series, with the harder, faster decks designed to suit the Dutch top order. Capacity at VRA sits at 5,500, with pop-up family stands taking the Pakistan-series Saturday to 7,200. Tickets opened at EUR 18 for the bronze tier across the WCL2 fixtures.
Hazelaarweg and The Hague rotation
VRH Hazelaarweg in Rotterdam hosts three fixtures, including a two-match T20I block against Scotland (July 12, 14) and a one-off T20I against Ireland (August 9). Sportpark Westvliet in The Hague picks up two fixtures, both T20Is, against Hong Kong (August 20) and the United States (August 23). The Hague's newer drop-in pitches play faster than VRA, giving the selectors a deliberate variety check before the WC 2027 build-up. The KNCB's reasoning is to distribute fixtures across the three Dutch cricket hubs to grow regional fan bases, with the broader plan of building a four-venue host model by 2028.
WCL2 timeline and pathway maths
The Namibia WCL2 series is the points centrepiece. Netherlands goes into the leg second on the table, three points clear of Nepal, with eight WCL2 fixtures remaining across the cycle. The pathway maths is straightforward: 5 wins from 8 locks an automatic WC 2027 berth. Captain Scott Edwards, opener Vikramjit Singh, allrounder Bas de Leede and quick Logan van Beek are pencilled in for every WCL2 game. Head coach Ryan Cook's rotation plan protects van Beek and de Leede across the Pakistan and Scotland legs, with workload caps of 40 overs per week. Spinner Aryan Dutt and offie Roelof van der Merwe share the second-spinner rotation across the WCL2 fixtures.
Pakistan series, broadcast and ticketing
The three-match Pakistan ODI series at VRA is the broadcast headliner. Pakistan's touring squad arrives in late June as part of their T20 WC 2026 build-up window, and the series is being marketed jointly by KNCB and PCB across the Dutch and South Asian markets. PTV Sports takes the Pakistan rights, A Sports streams in MENA, FanCode owns India, Ziggo Sport handles the Netherlands free-to-air, and the ICC pathway feed picks up 70-plus markets. Tickets opened at EUR 22 in the bronze tier, scaling to EUR 145 in hospitality. The two-week ODI block is followed by a one-week reset for the Dutch first-choice XI before the Scotland T20Is and the Hong Kong-USA Hague block.
What it means
The KNCB has built the 2026-27 home calendar to do three things: confirm the WC 2027 automatic-qualifier berth, monetise the Pakistan tour to the maximum, and grow the regional fan base by distributing fixtures across three cities. The VRA WCL2 weekends drive the points, the Pakistan series drives the revenue, and the Rotterdam-Hague rotation drives the long-term growth play. Watch the Namibia WCL2 results in early June and the Pakistan ODI gate receipts at VRA, those are the two scorecards that decide whether this calendar lands as designed.
