ILT20 season four arrives in early 2027 and the schedule release is the major franchise-cricket announcement of the UAE's autumn calendar. Emirates Cricket Board and ILT20 League are projected to release fixtures between mid-October and early November 2026. Below is the tracker on schedule expectations, projected venues, broadcast plans and team-by-team squad updates ahead of the release.

Schedule release expected window

Based on the past three seasons, ILT20 is projected to release season-four fixtures between 18 October and 8 November 2026. The tournament indicatively runs from 9 January to 14 February 2027 with the final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Auctions land 6-8 weeks before the schedule release.

Zee Network carries domestic and Indian rights. ZeeCric streams in India. Sky Sports for the UK. Willow TV for North America. SuperSport for southern Africa. FanCode is not the carrier here.

Team-by-team tracker

Gulf Giants

Captain: James Vince. Core: Shimron Hetmyer, Liam Plunkett, Tymal Mills. Watch points: title contenders coming off a strong season three; auction priority is a third overseas allrounder.

MI Emirates

Captain: Nicholas Pooran. Core: Andre Russell (uncertain), Trent Boult, Suryakumar Yadav (overseas). Watch points: rebuild around Pooran's leadership and middle-order anchor.

Desert Vipers

Captain: Sam Curran. Core: Alex Hales, Wanindu Hasaranga, Sherfane Rutherford. Watch points: spin-bowling depth chart remains the strongest in the league.

Sharjah Warriorz

Captain: Tim Southee. Core: Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Matheesha Pathirana, Naveen-ul-Haq. Watch points: rebuild season after early playoff exits; auction priority is a power-hitting top-order.

Abu Dhabi Knight Riders

Captain: Sunil Narine. Core: Andre Russell (uncertain), Jason Holder, Alex Hales. Watch points: KKR-template signings carry over; title-contender status hinges on Russell's availability.

Dubai Capitals

Captain: David Warner. Core: Sikandar Raza, Rovman Powell, Joe Root (overseas). Watch points: Warner's captaincy is the rebuild anchor; Joe Root's T20I form remains the wildcard.

What this league means

ILT20 sits in a competitive January-February window alongside SA20 and BBL. Season four matters for the league because it's the first under the new TV-rights deal with Zee, and because Emirates Cricket Board is targeting expansion to a 38-match league phase. Squad signings here directly drive selection visibility for several West Indies, England and South Africa fringe players.

The ILT20 League schedule release is expected within seven weeks of the auction window. Watch for Russell's commitment status at Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and the Dubai Capitals' captaincy lock at the auction window first.
